Wasok provides a full spectrum of programming and services for CFS agencies across New Brunswick. From respite to long-term alternative housing, Wasok has the staff, systems, and support services to make sure that a social worker's vision for a client becomes a reality...
We understand that every case is different and that's why we've spent countless hours refining an approach that provides the best possible care alongside a reporting system that keeps social worker's in-the-know...
Detailed Reporting
From step-by-step daily logs to in-depth serious incident reports, our staff are trained to document what social workers need to know, when they need to know it
On-Demand Staffing
Cases don't wait for staff to become available. Wasok always ensures that ample homes and employees are available to care for children and youth when we receive a call
Flexible Mandate
We understand that social workers might not always know the exact type of support a client may need - however, Wasok is always ready to expand (or contract) our support as needed
Detailed Planning
For each new client, Wasok engages in a wholistic approach alongside the client's social worker to figure out which staff best suit the client's needs and what supports can assist
Management Access
Wasok's management staff are involved in every detail of how a social worker's desired care plan is implemented. As a result, social workers can always discuss a client's current status and needs with management at any time
Offerings Designed to Fit Whatever a Client Needs
From protection cases to least disruptive measures cases to post-majority cases, Wasok has the capacity to help clients no matter their situation, age, or challenges...
Got questions? We’ve got answers! Here are some of the most common inquiries we receieve...
How quickly can Wasok onboard a new client?
Wasok prides itself on always being able to onboard new clients whenever a social worker calls. While a few days' notice allows us to ensure that no stone is left unturned in creating the best possible environment for the new client, Wasok always has vacant homes and ample staffing in case of emergency placements.
What kind of reporting does Wasok provide?
To ensure that Wasok manages each case to the best of its abilities, rigorous reporting standards are paired with weekly retrospectives on each client. Wasok then reports to social workers in the format they prefer (whether that's weekly summaries, daily summaries, weekly calls, in-person meetings, etc.).
In short, social workers tell us what kind of reporting they want to see, when they want to see it, and what situations they want to be notified of and we adjust to their preferences.
How flexible are Wasok's service offerings?
Wasok is always happy to change its service offerings to conform with what a social worker believes is in the client's best interest - this can be as granular as working with a social worker side-by-side to determine what staff mix they believe is best, changing the home a client is in if it isn't the right fit, etc.
Does Wasok bill on a monthly basis?
While Wasok bills on a monthly basis for the work done over the prior month, it does not charge the same per-day rate over the entire month if the service offerings have changed.
For example, if a client was double-staffed for the first half of the month, but then was single-staffed thereafter, then that is what the monthly invoice will reflect.
Wasok does not charge retainer-like fees for the services it provides unless expressly agreed upon with the social worker. This both lowers costs for agencies and creates invoices that more accurately reflect the work done by Wasok.
